ThomasHamlin.Com is my electronic Business Brochure. As such, it's purpose is to initiate a conversation about the continuing challenges businesses face when trying to integrate data from across the enterprise and the world.

The Challenge for all parties is to bring order to a very complex situation. The earmarks of non-integrated data are: internal reports that don't tie out to the balance sheet, multiple computers systems with duplicate or redundant entries, inability to define the customer clearly, extraordinary costs (time and material) associated with internal staff generating management reports and lost opportunities.

The Process starts with knowing your own business better. By beginning the process of answering the questions of "what, how, where, who, when, and why" about all your resources you create a framework whereby the Challenge Interrogatives may be answered. This is not for the faint of heart. It is a continuous and iterative process that should never end.

The Results are an increased understanding of your own business, reduced business risk, better relations with your customers, the choice of what opportunities your business should take, and the ability to be proactive in identifying new products or services while becoming a market leader.
