As a consultant, I have been involved in numerous Data Intergration projects, such as Corporate Reporting, Operational Data Stores, and Data Warehouses/Marts. For analysis I use the Zachman Framework of interogatives to develop architecture, drive solutions, and create success.

Corporate Reporting in this context involves defining and analyzing data sources, consolidating the data into a common area for reporting and designing integrated reports. The reports aid the manager at all determine "'what has happened?", "why did it happen?"', and "what may happen?".

The most misunderstood aspect of any development or improvement project is determining how it fits into the overall business. The Zachman Framework is a complete enterprise architecture which drives out the implicit or assumed into explicit models and documentation.
